Tim and Heidi Indahl of Work and Play, Day by Day are now offering Catholic Education Solutions for every parish, school and family. As educators with 20+ years of experience, we bring research-based education solutions to Catholic parishes, ministries, schools, and families. In addition to providing educational resources for homeschool parents, we now work directly with parishes and schools.
Professionally, Tim holds advanced degrees and certifications in Montessori education and Science education along with holding a PhD in Educational Psychology. He has taught from 1st grade through graduate school and continuing education. Additionally, his special interest areas include healthy relationships with technology (for teachers and students) and integrating faith into the educational disciplines (particularly science).
Heidi holds a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and has been writing and speaking for the last 10 years while primarily focusing on homeschooling their eight children. She is the author of four print books and many digital resources. Prior to staying home with her children, she was a program administrator for birth through third grade. When combining training and experience, Heidi’s special interests include family-centered formation and nurturing authentic faith relationships in young people.
What We Offer
We work directly with parishes and schools to create custom programming. This might look like catechist training, parent education, curriculum assistance, program evaluation and more.
Recent live trainings have included Technology & Its Affects on Learning for Catechists, Christ in The Community: Moving from a Checklist of Service to an Authentic Life of Faith and Creating a Shared Culture of Service with Young People.
Also, we recently released the Family Technology Inventory to help Catholic families tackle this important issue. Future projects include updating existing curriculum in our store, new parish-based retreats for youth and adults centered on authentic service, and parish tools to introduce families to Digital Discernment.
